Viscount Bennett - Prime Minister of Canada from 1930-33, was born in 1879 in New Brunswick.  His ancestors were United Empire loyalists.  He was by turn teacher, lawyer and politician and spent his last years in England.  Viscount Bennett was raised to the peerage in June 1941 and died at Juniper Hill, Michelham, on June 26, 1947 at the age of 76.
